nosoydeportista asked:
I want to be an archaeologist. I am thinking about going to my local collage (which does not offer a degree in archaeology) and then going to another school and major in archaeology, since there aren’t any good achaeology schools in my state. What should i major in at my local collage? I would like to be finacialy stable before i move somewhere else and major in archaeology. Would history be good?

Does anyone know how much science is involved in studying archaeology?
Victoria asked:
I’m just exploring options for what I want to study in college, and anthropology with a focus of archaeology seems very interesting. However, I’ve never been the biggest fan of largely science based courses. I know there is some science involved which is fine, but I just wanted to know how much.

What stratum or strata of rocks are good for finding fish fossils from the devonian?
Caveman asked:
I’m looking for fish fossils throughout west virginia and I live in an area that has many devonian strata but I don’t know if I can locate any fish fossils in these rocks. I have found shells so, I know that this area was under water at that period of time. Also, I would like to know what type of rock their in for example sandstone, limestone, etc. Thanks for your help.

what to write my archaeology paper on?
Abby asked:
I have to write a paper for my archaeology class but the subject is just something academic in the archaeology field. I asked my professor for ideas and he just said “Do something that interests you!!!” Uh, it didn’t help. I’m interested in a lot, and I just want something specific that I can easily write a 6 page paper one. Suggestions?

What is an archaeology topic I could write an essay about?
Mat asked:
These are the questions I need to answer in my essay
These are the questions I need to answer in my essay
Your objective is to explain why the topic is important to the field of archaeology. How do you plan to address this issue? How has the problem been discussed in the literature? And in what ways do you propose to solve this issue?
I don’t want answers to these questions, I’ll do that work myself, but does anyone have any ideas on what topic I could write about?
Is devodian shale is a good rock to find trilobite fossils in?
Caveman asked:
I’ve recently been interested in searching for trilobite fossils and I can’t seem to find any where I live so, I’m thinking about searching though some devonian shale road cuts I’ve seen on my drive though West Virginia. I was wondering If that would be a good rock to search though to find trilobites.

There are an awful lot of Creationists on R&S today. They didn’t seem to be around last month. Is this the.
Sips With A Fist asked:
…”Proof” that the Creation event actually happened? No gentle evolution of the Creationist questions over millions and millions of seconds since last month, no remnant of fossilized URL links, no rational explanation of the strata of data recordings left behind from the ungentle upheaval of dogmatic R&S debate.

They seem to have cropped up out of nowhere today. Can anyone explain why?

Fossils?
mntnbik8 asked:
How are the same fossils that respected scientists all over the world found to be millions of years old, claimed by creationists to only be thousands of years old? What methods do they use besides reading verses from the bible? How are these methods better than radioactive isotope dating that respected scientist all over the world are using? I even heard a creationist say that god created fossils that appear to be millions of years old. How does that make any sense?
